Default Door Panels

Well I haven't been on these forums for a while, but im trying to get my jeep back up in shape as much as I can as im going to school at the moment. The door panels on my jeep arent all bad but the arm rest on one side has fallen off and the other one is barely hangin on. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of what I can do to make them at least look decent or a way to fix them without spending too much, since im going to school and not working at the moment. Ill post some pictures. Thanks in advance.

can you buy a piece of metal flat stock from a hardware store and paint it up? drill two holes in it and use current screws to mount it.
