What is a decent price for around a 98 or newer grand? I have no idea what to look for so figure I would start with price and go from there, what year can I get my most bang for my buck?

Well that depends. Do you want leather or a V8 or 6cyl motor?

98-04 Grands can be had for fairly cheap. I'd look on ebay, just to get an estimate on what kind of pricing you'd be looking at and go from there.

 

98s are generally cheaper because of the older body style. you can find 98s for a good couple grand cheaper than 99s with like mileage. i went through this with the wife because she wanted a "rounder" one because it was prettier. we got hers for $4800, but it was higher mileage. it still runs like a champ though. oh it has the 4.0.
