1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.
It has a 170K, no rust, needed tires terribly, but everything works. I paid $3,400.
I owned it for 20 minutes and took it to the tire shop and bought some 235-75-15's all terrains (I don't plan to lift, and if I do; inch or two). This is bought as my daily "winter" driver.
I plan to detail it tonight and make it look perfect inside and out!
I am excited to jump into this forum!
What should I do maintenance wise to make sure I it lasts.
Thanks!

KBB says $3,900, so 3k would have been a great price but... Jeeps are hard to come by with the 4.0 and no rust here in the midwest. They salt the **** out of everything here. There are V8's all day, but I wouldn't touch a 4.7 with a 10 foot pole.

Well my CV boots are bad up front (small tear).
And I am going to need shocks!
Rear needs breaks and rotors!
I guess when buying a 12 year old car your going to get these types of things. I could have sworn the breaks were ok; my bad I guess!

Thanks! I was close, and I am a newbie!
Yesterday:
1. New tires 235-75-15 General AT Graber's
2. Oil Change
Today:
3. I just ordered my Chiltons Manual $20.71 shipped.
4. New rotors and pads for the back, and research replacing the CV boots (never done it, but how hard could it be).
