Default 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee going into limp mode

My 95 Grand Cherokee goes into limp mode on cold mornings. I drive it for 10 - 15 minutes, turn it off and back on, and it works fine for the rest of the day. I do the key on-off thing the only code I get is battery was disconnected. I see some jeeps have a battery temp sensor. Does anyone know if mine does and where it might be located?
