4 or 6 cyl?
seems a little high considering you would need to put at least $500 into it in tires
check for rust

The price depends where you live really,But like said look for rust and if you don't know anything about cars have a mechanic look it over.Even if you have to pay the mechanic its cheaper to know up front if its in good shape or bad shape before you buy it.

I checked, no rust. Got him down 500 on the price, so i can buy some tires. Its got a few little bumps and bruises but nothing i cant fix myself. Any ideas on what i should do with it now? lift? What tires?

what are your plans for it? daily driver, light trails, mud, rocks?

that will determine the type of tire. size of tire will determine how much lift you need

but actually, just drive it for a while. see what it can do and if any issues show up

I'm definitely gunna use it as a daily driver (I'm 16, my first vehicle ever) but id also like to do some trails, but nothing to crazy. I was thinking of maybe going with a 3" rustysvlift

For now get some decent a/t or maybe m/t tires, just slightly bigger than stock, make sure all your wear / maint items are good and go wheeling

Welcome and nice find! I would say go for it if you really want it. And for lift wise with a 3 inch go for full leafs if you can afford it.

hey guys, I popped the flares off the xj for a good cleaning, and noticed the retainers in the front were pretty well gone. I need both pieces for the drivers side and one piece for the passengers. Can anyone help me find some or sell me some? Any help is hugely appreciated
