yea but besides some state game lands I haven't taken my xj off road sadly, i am part of a group online by my school who meet up every sunday but I just haven't found the time to get out there but once i do I know where I'm coming!
Got the mount, looks good! I had to put a slight twist on it to accommodate the hatch closing on it. Also need to drill out the 3/8 hole for a 1/2, I got the Francis 310-M102C PL-259 to 3/8-24 antenna mount and it needs 1/2" to accommodate the bushing.

Tailgate gaps are soo different on every xj it's hard to make a 1 size fits all. I was unaware of different antenna mount sizes, I apologize . Glad to hear everything worked out ok!

Have to get rid of mine
it broke my tail light.... NOT because of the design. Because i work in a parking garage and didnt think about it and my firestick was hitting each beam and ultimately busted the tail light

Thankyou all for the feedback . If there are any suggestions in design change please let me know . It helps to have an outside perspective sometimes

Well the one thing I had to do with mine was I needed to drill it out to a 1/2" hole so that the plastic washers would sit in it properly... Idk about everyone else but that's the only thing for me.
I only need to do exactly that. Other then drilling it out, I'm happy with my mount, and I would buy another one from you if I had another jeep. One less thing I have to fab.

I would like one for my 93, driver's side. Do you have any options for one held on by more than one bolt or one that sticks out to the rear instead of out to the side?
