Does it work on pre-97?

 

Depends on the tail gate gap, and the tail light bolt pattern. If you could measure the gap and send me a pic of the taillights , I'm sure I can figure it out

being that there is only 1 bolt holding it in there does it move up/down at all?

 

I've never had an issue with it. The bottom side of the bracket rests on the taillight so there is minimal movement if any.

 

Did you ever get set up for pre 97 ? Would like to get one.

 

All I need is a picture of the taillight just to confirm, not sure if the mounting holes , bolt size are the same
