The basic part is already done, just needs manufactured. That's probably 6-8 weeks out. I'll make some more and start selling them. $10 each. Wish I could do cheaper.
The option I'm going to work on is a kit that ties into the existing light housing (and switch) ands two thin light bars or strips that mount to the underside of the hood. I'd like to use magents for mounting. By adding some extra wire length and a tie, the strips could be moved around easily for help when working. Not sure about the cost of magnets, but I should be able to do this for $15 to $20 shipped.
Just add color and an always-on switch to go full-tuner.
This is an awesome idea for me, because the xj hood lamp is functionally the same across at least two decades of chrysler vehicles.

I'm in the process of getting a new light for the 97-01 sets. Functionally it'll be same, but it should have a longer life.

Also found out my 99 doesn't have a glove box Light...according to some quick googling no 98+ does?

I'm pretty sure the glove box was redesigned for 98 around a new passenger air bag. I think the ZJ went through a similar redesign in 95 or 96.

Stock is getting low on early year XJ Interior sets, 84-96 and the 97. If looking for one of those, let me know. There shouldn't be any trouble with anything else.
Thanks!

I don't think that photo was professionally white-balanced. I've not heard reports of them being overly-blue. There is a difference in hue between most lights and the dome light (all years) / 84-97 cargo light. That light gives off a slight hue, yellow or greenish, at the edges of the light pattern. I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the dome-lens on each LED than the output itself.
In no way is the color profile of the LEDs anywhere near as bad as the stock bulbs.
