1993 Jeep Cherokee Sport 1 owner STOCK
1993 Was a great year for America, Intel created the first Pentium processor and paved the way for PC technology, Unemployment falls down to 6.5%, Yassar Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin shake hands after signing a peace accord and the world is a great place to live. And then the 1993 Jeep Cherokee hits the road. The coming years were the pinnacle of the JEEP name, with Lee Iacocca getting ready to introduce AMC's GRAND CHEROKEE Jeep was at the top. Needless to say this piece of American History embodies it all, sharp hard lines convey a strong proud image of the country that manufactured this great vehicle. 23 years later and you see these vehicles to this day on the road, a testimament to AMERICAN engineering that can withstand nature and time. The brand that has served the country returns to serve its citizens, and serve them well it has... It's time to pass this beautiful machine to another who can appreciate its history and capability.
I have for sale my family's 1993 Jeep Cherokee. This Jeep has been in our family for 23 years (all documentation is available). It was purchased by my grandfather and owned by him for the past 23 years. He recently passed and it has come into my possession, it still only has one owner so the next purchaser will be owner #2. The vehicle has been meticulously maintained, with 5 pages of carfax history over 23 years . My grandfather kept up with all the maintenance of the vehicle and it runs extremely strong to this day. These jeeps are very hard to find stock and such low mileage. I am constantly getting compliments whenever I park the car at work. This vehicle will surly run to 250,000-300,000 miles guaranteed. When I got the jeep I replaced a lot of parts all of which records are available.
Recently replaced parts:
Brake Calipers
Brake Pads
Rotors
Brake Shoes
Brake Springs
Brake Drums
Brake Hoses
Spark plugs
Spark plug wires
Oil + Filter (Mopar)
Alternator
Air Filters
REESE tow hitch
Rugged Ridge Mats
Wiper blades
Differential fluids front and rear
This car has tremendous value both market and sentimental. Asking $7000 the price is negotiable in person if you feel its not fair. I do not have a need to sell this car and I am not in any rush what so ever. I drive it everyday to work and back (4 miles round trip). Please do not contact me with lowball offers, this car is a timepiece. I have all documents from the original purchase, including bill of sale and warranty information my grandfather bought(all of which are available in the link below). Again there is no rush to sell, if you're interested in coming and taking a look at the please dont hesitate to call me. Feel free to bring a mechanic if you would like.
Please PM me your number and I will shoot you a text or call.
Please use this album to view high resolution photos:
Detailed Car fax included in the link below.

I am willing to accept trades for a wrangler, or a lifted cherokee from the same era.

Yes, took it to my mechanic and they said it needed to recharged. They offered to refill with R12a or convert to R134a. Conversion was more expensive so I had them refill it. Pretty sure this is the first time the A/C has ever been serviced because it is the original part.

If I lived closer, I'd pick this thing up in a heartbeat! It has a couple dings, but looks great!
Why are you getting rid of it? You said you'd take a lifted XJ, why not just put some work into that one and keep it in the family? Pass it down to your kid or something.

Thank you, I'm working on getting those repaired soon. As far as modifying it and keeping it, I might just do that if I dont get a worthwhile offer. I currently dont have the funds/time to invest in upgrades (Mainly cosmetic, no places to offroad in NY). I also purchased a 2016 JKU 75th anniversary edition. So selling this will help me drive that more often, and that will be my legacy that I pass down to my grand kids.

What is, or was the problem with the wiring?
I see in one of the photos ( lower left side of photo attached) that a hole was drilled into the dash for some wiring to go through.
Shown here :
Can you take a photo showing the whole dash area,
similar to this photo here :
Thank you.
I don't usually nitpick but you are asking a premium after all.
And if you meantto say "there are no places to off road on Long Island, NY" then you are correct, besides the beaches. However, there are so many places to go off roading in the other 90% of NY, that is north of Manhattan.
I live less than a couple hours north of you an know a few places around here.
