Why did you decide not to use it?

It worked fine but with 40s it was not quite what he wanted and he decided to make his xj a dedicated trail rig so street ability wasn't a concern.

Full hydro? Sorry but new to hydro and looking to upgrade xj to hydro, and really don't know anything about all of the components.

Hydro assist is street legal because there is still a physical connection between the steering wheel and the tires. In full hydro there is no steering box instead there is a orbital valve that decides which direction the hydraulic fluid goes. Since the steering is only connected to the wheel by hydraulic lines if you lose power then you lose steering.

What else would be needed for it to work? Do you have the parts necessary?

You would need a ram and lines and a way to mount the ram. I don't have a correct sized ram for a Dana 30.

I am interested in the box, but need to explore the additional cost associated with the install. Do you have any links for the ram and hydraulic lines needed?
Thanks again, and hope I am not wearing you out. Just want to buy the right thing and do it once. I get tired of rebuilding...
