that is indeed true. i just brought it up because it was related to the "ZJ swap" theme. If you needed a new one, thats always an option

From what I found, the xj and zj drag link were the same. I was running a stock xj draglink on a zj tie rod, and bent the drag link. Replaced it with a zj one, and they looked and felt the same besides my new bend. Then I bent the zj tie rod and replaced it because it was under warranty. Bent it again and said hell with it. Got ballistic fab 3/4 heim kit and haven't looked back

I think when I upgraded last summer the drag link for xj and V8 zj were identical.

Since mine was the original steering in an 85xj I replaced both the tie rod and drag link with new parts. Took me a while to figure out though that both pieces are called a Tie Rod End on the website. The rod end is made into the drag link at the passengers wheel end and into the ZJ tie rod on the drivers wheel end, then you need the short ones for the connection between the tie rod and drag link, and the drag link and the pitman arm, which are connected by the adjuster sleeves.
