Yet another SYE question
Hi Fellas. I just installed a Rough Country 3" lift on my 1999 Cherokee Sport. I am now suffering with the wretched drive line vibrations. My jeep has the AW-4, NP231 and I think it has the 8.25 rear in it (I had to use the bigger set of U-bolts that came with the lift kit.) I ordered the SYE Hack & Tap from Iron Rock Off Road http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merch...egory_Code=XDT. What drive shaft Will I be able to use with this kit? I am going to measure the length from U-joint to U-joint after I install the kit, but I was hoping someone has already done this in a similar jeep.

older 90s front drive shaft from xj and maybe a zj. it has a double cv joint. just look at your front drive shaft and u will see what im talking about.
Or adamsdriveshafts.com they will make u custom rockcrawler driveshaft for around 300. just got mine from them last wk. and its great but i went with upgrade sealed spicer ujoints.

I went to the local junk yard with a tape measure and found a front driveshaft from another jeep. Both cherokee and grand cherokees should work. 6 cylinder, v8, manuals, and autos all have different length shaft.
I would bring a tape and find something that will work.
Much cheaper than having a shaft made.

I just lifted my Jeep from 3 to 4.5 inches if I don't drop my transfer case will I snap a shaft or is it just the vibrations? And how much should I drop it when I do get it done?

you'll be fine. just check your rear output for leakage after a few days and if you see fluid, drop it. if you have bad vibration obviously you'll need to drop it
