Hey friends,

Full disclosure, mostly a car noob here. I am trying to gather some information about replacing the factory cross bars on my 2001 Cherokee. I would prefer to buy ones that fit onto the flush mount side rails that the factory bars attach to rather than the rain gutters. However, looking on the the Yakima website it doesn't seem like they have any towers that will fit these. It looks like their new Ridgeline towers are meant for flush mounted rails, but I don't see what clips are needed to make this work.

Anybody have any better luck, or are there not man cross bar towers that fit the factory side rails? Thanks!

 

You would need the "landing pad 2" to fit into the factory rails, then the "skyline towers" would lock into those, then the 44" bars.
