First off, thanks for having me as this is my first post. New to my XJ, but not new to building some crazy vehicles.
I've got a super clean and rust free 1992 XJ 2-Door that I plan on adding a few touches to, but keeping it 100% with the early 90's vintage feel. I'm currently building a stainless push bar for it, but where can I find some tail light guards? I don't care if they are new or used as I'm going to blast them and then chrome them anyways to match the rest of the jeep. I have no problem building a set, but if I can save some time, and help out a fellow XJ guy, that works for me.
This is what I'm looking for This is my newest addition. Look at this interior... clean as can be!
haha, good story! or were you being serious? They haven't been made in 10 years so the only way I'm going to find a set is if someone has a set they don't want. Unless you know something I don't about the last week of my interweb searching... fill me in if so!!
Just have to keep on it. Sooner or later some will pop up. Craigslist, post in the parts wanted sections in the forums, Ebay, etc. All the options that I have added to my '00 have been purchased used. Overhead console, factory running boards, rear tail light guards, Infinity tweeters, heated power leathers seats, etc. This is a way to search Craigslist nationwide.
Sticking with a more general search might be better. Also look at '96 and down XJ's that are for sale. In the pictures you might see some. There is always an outside chance the owner might part with them separately.

Thanks for the reply! I actually found this Jeep on Tempest so I'll just stick to checking that out every week. It might be easier just to fabricate a set at this point, but we shall see. Thanks again
Any updates on tail light guards for sale or being fabricated?
Or is there any interest in having some fabricated? I just fab'd up my 90's era push bumper and then hit it with chrome powdercoat. I might as well fab up some tail light guards while I"m at it to keep the 90's look.
