For what it's worth, I pulled the tie rod off a V6 WJ from the pick and pull and it was the same tube tie rod I already had on the XJ, at least I wsa only out 5 bucks.

Thank you everyone for the input. The WJ I'm buying isn't accessible until the spring of the year ... it's currently snowed/frozen in behind the seller's garage.
Once I get the rig I'll start stripping the parts and install them on the XJ ... once that process begins I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions!
