I have a 2000 cherokee and it drives fine alittle slow on the accalertaion but thats about it but when i come to a stop and put it in park it turns of immediately. In order for me to start it i have to drop it into neutral to start ot but ot never starts on the first try only on the second. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be.

 

Never heard that description of a NSS (neutral safety switch) problem but sounds like it could be. Do your back lights work?
