Bottle jacks? Don't laugh, I have seen it done before and the bad thing is that it was done on an older 3/4 ton ford at a show in Richmond.. I about fell over when I seen it!!!

If you do put the wooden spacers in let us all know exactly where you are before you go anywhere so we can get out of the road. BTW, 35s will fit with 3 inches no problem, see:

Use some threaded rod for a track bar and lowers that way its fully adjustable
