winch bumper bolt grade?

Default winch bumper bolt grade?

Just got my stubby winch bumper today and the bolt list they gave me to go buy says to get grade 5 bolts. shouldn't i get grade 8? What is the difference? Thanks

Grade 8. Long story short they're stronger.

5-90 (Forum member) has a writeup somewhere on the actual differences on them that explains it perfectly but i can't for the life of me find it.

Dont quote me but i wanna say grade 5 stretches before it break and grade 8 shears. With grade 5 more companies are using it because you can tell the bumper is loose by the stretched bolts and you can replace them. Grade 8 is strong though.
