Ok i just bought an 89 jeep cherokee for $250 that was in a fire sat night from the tranny fluid dripping on the exhaust... Its pretty torched... Buttttttttttt from what i was told had a rubicon 8" long arm lift kit on it.. The 8'' coil springs are done but i was wondering if the long arm kit would work with my 4'5 inch lift.... It has a hole transfer case skid plate / crossmember that didnt have much heat to it... The long arms connect to it... Just wondering if the long arms would work thankssss for any ones advice

I think it will depend on how hot it got and how long it was hot. If the heat was real intense for any length of time, the strength of the metal could be compromised. The springs will probably be the first indicator. If they start to sag, heat might have been too much. Good luck...hope it works out for you.
