Where is a wire?
I need to know the location/color of the wire that powers the dash lights & tail lights on a '98 XJ.

Fuses are good.No recent radio.
I'm pretty sure I have a broken wire somewhere & want to by-pass it.

Pull your drivers Tail light out and check the wiring.
On my Brother's '98 we found a short back there that killed dash lights, tail lights and a few other things..

Is there a trailer plug on this rig? Could be damaged and shorting out some place. Interior wiring that is in a loom don't just break. It's usually a self tapping screw drilled into them that will "break" them.
