As some might know RE was bought out by Transamerican Auto Parts in 2011. Transamerican is a parent company to 4WheelParts, 4WD Hardware (4wd.com), G2 axle, Pro comp, Smittybilt as well as some others. In recent years I've seen a decline in the quality of their parts. I've attached an email i received back from an RE rep which vaguely outlines how much of their products are still made in the USA. As noted from their email, their leaf's are now made in India. I believe they use to be manufactured in Mexico (don't quote me on that as i cannot verify but i do remember hearing it). I will say that their new leafs do not seem to be as weight-bearing as their older leafs i had on. The purpose of this thread was not to bash RE, i know quite a few members swear by their products. I'm a proud supporter of US made parts so for me this is a bit of a disappointment. On the upside there is still a few companies making leafs and other suspension parts right here in the US.
