Wheel offset with lift

Wheel offset with lift
I have stock rims on my 99 XJ. I am getting a lift, either 3" or 4", and my dad said that I will have to get new rims because the offset on the wheels I have now will cause the tires to rub. I currently have 30's but am going to get 31's or 32's depending on the lift. If I get 31s and a 3 or 4in lift, will it rub with stock rims?

It's not the lift, it's the tires and they'll rub on the LCAs at full turn with stock backspacing. You'll need wheel spacers or new wheels to correct it.
