Default Wheel Help!!

I've been lurking on the forum and I appreciate all of the information that I have gathered. I am building a 2001 cherokee sport (8.5 BDS Lift) and would like to run 18" wheels. I've only found a few online with the size and the bolt pattern. Just wanted to know if these would fit on my jeep.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/18-x9-ION-AL...3eff15&vxp=mtr

I see that they have 12mm offset, would that clear?

Any opinions or suggestions of other wheels would be appreciated as well.

if you go with 1.25" wheel spacer/adpaters (convert 5x4.5 to the more popular wrangler 5x5.5) you will open up A HELLUVA LOT MORE options...FYI. Just make sure you go with a 5-5.5BS on whatever rim you choose so when you use the 1.25" spacer it will give you a net of 3.75-4.25BS so you will clear your tires. Thats what I did on mine with 17x9s (I went with 5.5BS and used the 1.25 so I 4.25" final BS)

thanks. a guy named Jesse (can't remember his last name since its been so long) from NAXJA (username is Jesse A on there) made them for me about 4 years ago. He hand formed them and I cut the square windows into them then trimmed them with vinyl molding from autozone. I cut down the entire OEM plastic housing about 1.5" more narrow and used the metal housing as a "cover" and they work great.

Here is the thread on NAXJA, post #15

why not? big wheels look awesome with big tires.

a +12 offset on a 9" wide wheel is 5.5" BS. -12 would be about 4.5." Either way, you want more than that... at least -30 which is 3.8" BS. The more negative offset, the more the wheel sticks out. Don't go much more than -40, you'll be blowing your outers apart on your D30 real quick (all this is for a 9" wide wheel btw... if you choose a different width the offset changes).

there are conversion charts and stuff online, use the google.

I don't like the look of It but that's just me.. That stuff belongs on a lifted ford for show..... Plus it will be a Huge pain in the arsenal finding tires.. Not to mention expensive

Good looking is a matter of personal taste, what functional is a matter of fact. A smaller diameter wheel is going to allow for a better buldge on the tire. That translates into better performance off road.

I appreciate all of the info. I wanted 18's for personal preference. I am running 35's so I think that 18's would look good.

There should be plenty of sidewall to "grip/ bite", so I don't think that it will be a problem.
