flowmaster 44 2.5 pipe. I think it sounds nice on the inline 6

 

Have 2.5" from down pipe, to the tip, with stock style muffler and high flow cat. Flows good, but is quiet. Threw the FM40 in the trash, hated the ricer sound.

 

calm down buddy i dont want you to have an aneurysm i was joking i know its illegal to remove them. but they are way more strick on that crap up north than they are are here in texas so lets just say im not gonna loose in sleep over it at night. now i dont wanna crowd up this dudes thread ne more over this so if u woul like to continue this feel free to pm me.

 

if your on a budget and want a flow 44 sound i just got a magnaflow high flow cat since my stock one had crumbled and put a thrush welded muffler on... sounds great and only cost a total of about 80 bucks just used all the stock piping

 

Mine is exempt due to the fact that it was stolen and rebuilt without one and they issued it a new VIN.

 

Either way is is a federal law that every car on the road has to have one. Cats seem to be a touchy subject on this site so I think it's best to just avoid the subject. Haha.

On a side note to others in this old thread I don't think I would argue with a mod, but thats maybe just me.

thrush welded....all flanges hacked away and replaced with straightpipe...sounds burpy

 

I have the dynomax cat-back. It's all bolt-on and pretty cheap. Sounds about as loud as stock. Maybe a little deeper.. Not really a noticable difference in any aspect besides the chrome tip lol

 

I don't condone removing them because contrary to popular belief removing them DOES NOT give you more power. The designs have improved so much in the years that removing them is pointless. Carry on.
