2.5" pipe from the "S" pipe to the rear bumper with a Flowmaster Super 40. It sounds awesome.
I have had a couple different set ups but my favorite so far is a flowmaster delta 44 sounds nice and deep. Had a magnaflow it was ok. Oh and straight pipe from the cat don't sound to bad just loud and cheap.

Stock. I can hear important things like the valve train (or at least can be sure it's not making noise) or if a bearing is going out somewhere. The radio can be heard without turning it to juvenile volume levels. I don't **** off the neighbors or get stopped by the cops. The engine is calibrated for it.
I guess I am officially old.

APN header to a Magnaflow cat to a Dynomax "renix" 2.5 catback. Sounds pretty decent.
The Renix Kit will fit on the HO motor, if you have a hitch you might run into a slight issue with the tail pipe though.

you can still have a mild nice tuned exhaust and have all of that. plus free up some ponies.

Stock manifold, down pipe, no cat (didnt come with the car) 28" thrush glasspack, custom 2.5" pipe that ends just before the bumper. Sounds beefy, and i did it for 80 bucks from o'reillys. Its extremely quiet in the cab unless you mash the skinny pedal....

i'm using a random muffler i bought fer 20$ the part store didnt even know they had. lot better than the last one. blown out down the side, 3 beer cans wrapped around the hole, tin foil wrapped around that and then a coat hanger wound around it. hackt it off, put the newish one on and i love it. starting to break in half from the tail pipe due to some crappy exhaust wrap i used. other than that, sounds mean at times.

Custom catback i had done at local exhaust shop with a magnaflow muffler and tip. I love the way it sounds. Its nice and quiet while idling, then push the pedal and it sounds deep and has this well put together, quality tone. Love it.
