I found a np241j at a local junkyard out of a 06 rubicon. They're asking $1395 for it. I thought that was on the higher side....

What would you pay for a rubicon t-case?

Yeah that is a little on the higher side of them. $1000 would be a pretty good deal for what I've seen.

A friend paid $800 for his after he turned his spare 231 in as a core. But he also had to drive from ATL to Jacksonville, FL.

$1000 for sure. 4:1 aint cheap. but after further research I realized 241or wasnt the route for me. not for a thousand dollars at least..

I'd like to have the 241OR over a Teralow kit. Not sure that I want one either, but I think it would be nice to have for sure. That opinion might change after I regear this weekend and get a chance to wheel with new gears. I'll probably do a full 231 rebuild with wide chain before I dropped coin on a 241 or Teralow kit.

241OR t-cases tend to suffer from stretched chains.
TeraLow FTW.

All the guys with TJ Rubi's in my club that beat on them harder than me haven't had a problem, unlike the Teralow kit. I'll have to read up on that

Why not double the 231 with a 300 and have all kinds of goodies. You can get in one for less than a grand and IMO is much better than a rubi 4:1

That to, do you still eliminate the chain with the 231/231?
