So I ordered my 24 inch light bar off of eBay, 9,000 lumen.
I ordered a new switch panel that included the fog light switch, that was melted, so I pulled defroster switch from old panel and modified the internals and stuck the internals into the new fog switch.
Ran my own wiring to a relay then to the light bar. I have it wire so I can turn it on any time I please
Installing:
I removed the bumper and cut a hole into the bumper, then welded some steal mesh like what is on a utility trailer gate. And made it flush with the surface, sanded, smoothed, and painted, reinstalled along with some spec-d projector headlights.
The picture of how bright it is truly does not do It Justice!
Let me know what y'all think!
4300k HID kit is on the way. I want all white light to match the LED's!

To each his own!
But I love them!! They are bright as hell and
Ale my jeep look unique!
And honestly.... They look better in person! Just like my light bar, the picture really doesn't do the over all look of my jeep justice....
I had to fabricate a mount for the light, to mount on the frame! Cuz there was a big oval shaped hope right where I needed to mount one of the brackets for the bar!
If anybody is interested I can do a write up!
I just thought that it looked cleaner than mounting it above or below the bumper...

Headlights... not so much.
I like the LED Light install though. I've always feared someone would steal the light bar off of the front of my Jeep. Mounting it behind the bumper would make that much more difficult.
While your welded in wire mesh looks well done, I'm not sure I like the mesh in front of it. I think I'd just rather have the hole there for the light to shine through.

Light bar looks sweet. I though about doing something similar with my spare bumper I have, except using the space for a trans cooler.
I like the idea of making it near impossible to steal the light too.

That is tops man, looks great. IF that pic doesn't do it justice, that is one really really bright bar!
And i like the headlights. I've thought about getting them, but havent pulled the trigger yet.

YES!!!!! Exactly, one of the reasons I hadn't purchased a light bar is because I was afraid someone would steal it.... And I have always wanted a clean look... I drive my jeep daily... As much as I off road, I am on the street more, so I want to keep my xj almost looking stock but clearly not..
That's what I was going for with the lift and Rubi wheels... It looks sorta stock but clearly not ya know?
I don't know.. I just want a damn good looking jeep! Ha
But thanks for the compliments on the light bar guys!
And about the mesh, I was afraid it was gonna block some of the light, but it's not one bit. I did tests to be sure that's even what I wanted before I cut up my bumper! The closer the mesh is to the light, the better!
I put stand offs behind the brackets on the frame, it's less than 3/4 of an inch from the mesh, and the mesh is slightly bigger than part inside the bar that actually puts out the light.
But the light is so bright it absolutely floods my bright lights and shines up to the sides down and over powers anything.... I will try and get some better pictures!

These are the new bumper nuts I made...
The old cheap *** ones were cracked and broke... So I just made new ones! Heavier duty!
They are machined out of aluminum...
Oh, and I did the mesh in front of the light to also protect it from brush and whatever else while I am offloading.
Plus just to sort of hide the fact that there is a light there... It's not that obvious until you get close to it, nearly impossible to tell while driving!
Can I ask what about the headlights you guys don't like??

How's the projectors in the headlights? If they don't have a good cutoff (a proper HID housing) then that's why I don't like them. I kinda like the look of them, different.

I like the headlights the only two questions I would ask is, do you have to cut/splice to get the side lights to work? Also do these headlight have highbeams? From the look of it they seem to be a non-Bixenon projector that takes a H7 bulb. Also did you hook up the lightbar to the factory fog light switch?

Well, to me the shine great, the light does sent scatter, and it's a pretty well focused beam.
I didn't have to trim anything at all.
It came with H7 bulbs, I never even tried them, I replaced them with brighter H7's but I have a 4300k HID kit on the way. I can't wait to try them!
But the HID bi xenon lights I'm getting will require splicing.... And modifying.
But otherwise the lights are plug and play!
But I did wire the halo light and side LED lights to the day time running lights. You have to wire those in.
And yes they have low/High beams.
It's going to be interesting to see how wiring the HID's will work...

Ok if the bulbs are h7 then the projector is a bixenon projector. H7 have no high and low function. So what do you have in the projectors now just halogen bulbs? Just trying to figure this out very curious. Either way led lightbars are the way to go.
