Eh. I'm running the standard JB conversions kit. It's fine, but I would say advance adapters is the best. JB doesn't come with a replacement main lock ring like the AA kit.

My JB SS SYE came with all new rings. Maybe it was because I ordered the wide chain kit with it? I also run their wide chain kit and 6 pinion planetary.

It would because of that kit. Mine didn't because the gears stayed in the same spot of the main shaft.

Is the AA kit 32-spline? Is the lock ring that necessary to be replaced?

I was considering the JB conversion myself.

AA is also 32 spline. If you think of the amount of people happily running the JB with the reused snap ring, I think that's a pretty good answer to your question.

I'm not saying it is necessary to replace... I never said that... I said it didn't come with another one. Which was a pain in the *** when mine broke.

Good point, 94XjSport94. I think it would be wise for all SYE manufacturers to include at least a partial rebuild kit with the SYE kit. It would save them a lot of trouble with returns due to installer error and such.

Good point. I will have to pick one up before I install the SYE.

Not only that, Frank is a hell of a guy. I have picked his brain and received very useful information from him at no charge. He has made phone calls to me and walked me through things w/o selling me a single thing. Don't HATE appreciate!
