I got an 89 with 4.0 and a 8" lift on 35s. I will be using it as my dd. 99% of my driving will be 55-60mph with some once and awhile wheeling. what gearing should I use? I heard it depends on what kinda driving u do

Simply use the pull-down menus and click on the applicable item for your rig. Click on the CALCULATE button and review the info that is available at the bottom of the page.

so a guy here that's local as an 8.25 with 4.10 gears, disc brakes, and a detroit trutrac limited slip as well as the matching d30 4.10 gears. all for $300. should I just go and get that rather than buy 4.56 gears and then have to pay to have them installed?

If the 8.25 is a 29 spline you have everything needed to do your Cherokee and then you could sell your old axles or use the shafts for spares. The 4.10s should work ok, the 4.56s would probably be better, but for the cost I would go with the 300.00 deal.
