What gearing do i have

Year: 1997
Model: Cherokee
Engine: 4.0 straight 6
What gearing do i have
So I think there's 2 different gears that came in Cherokees 3:07 and 3:55 and maybe 4:10 in the 44 my question is how do I know what I have Iv got a 97 with an 8.25 and a D30 any ideas how can I know for sure

if its auto its more than likely 355
look for the axle tag on the rear is the easiest way. you could mark the driveshaft, and rotate a wheel, 1 full turn of the wheel vs how many turns of the driveshaft will get you close, but the only real sure way besides the dif tags, is to remove the cover and check in the carrier.
