I wheel in the California desert which is rock, gravel and sand. My XJ has a rubicon 3.5 lift, stock rims and BFG AT's.

Looking at BFG Mud Terrain MT2 which rate good for rock and sand. I can get for $160ea, the MT rims are $110ea https://www.4wd.com/p/mickey-thompso...PQMS=15+Inches

If you have a tire / rim suggestion, please share.

Looks great to me, but I'm simplistic. Put tires on if you need them and wheel on. Good looking XJ.

You guys think I could stuff 32's on 15's with my setup? See pic above.

BFG KM2s as they are called are great. You could get them in 32x11.50s and be fine with your setup. With those wheels you posted, pushing the wheel out more will allow you to run the KM2 in their 33x10.50 version and go up a tire size. Just my thoughts.

I am taking your advice and going with the 32x 11.5 BFG Mud Terrains but KM3's and Micky Thompson classic baja lock rims. Sounds like these tires do really well when air down in the teens. This should work out good for the sandy gravel washes I run in mostly.

Should look like this when done

Went with the BFG Mud Terrain 32 X 11.5 X 15 with Method 301 15 X 7 (backspacing is 3.75) on a Rubicon Express 3.5. I'll run these aired down in the teens for sand and gravel washes I run. Here's a pic:
