Default what bushing type for dana 30

I have just ordered the iron rock rock link, 3 link system. While I am installing that, I want to upgrade the upper axle bushing bolt size from 10mm to something larger. I have found two options but unsure what to go with. This is my DD but sees trails on the weekend. Road noise/harshness is not really a problem either.

Those are the two I am deciding about, any input would be great. Thanks

did you get the 3 link or the radius arms? You can upgrade the 3 link, but the funky castor adjuster on the radius arms makes bolt size upgrade hard to do without losing that adjustment capability.

If you are going three link, like I have, then you will need something tougher than the rubber bushing. Right now I have a poly bushing there. The rubber bushing is not up to the job with only one to absorb the rotational forces. I have found that on the rubber factory bushing a 3/8" works better and 9/16" on the lowers is better there. On the machined flex joint, you will have to stick with what they give you

Out of the 2 you posted, one is poly, one rubber. That said, Currie is a well known company, unlike the other you posted. THAT said, Currie offers poly joints while the other is rubber. From the 2 posted, you need to make a decision. Poly joints are stiff, but noisey. Rubber is more like factory, and a little more forgiving, much quieter and a better ride. Won't last as long as poly. So, decision time, better ride or durability?

Personally I prefer rubber over poly. Better ride wins here, but Currie is a great company. Expensive, but reputable. You need to make the call.

Im trying to decide which one would be stronger and better for the 3 link. Being it's only gonna be the one upper mount I'd sacrfice ride quality for the stronger joint. The rubber is 1/2 so the bolt size is good but if it's gonna be going bad quicker id rather the Currie.
