I want to know your experiences with headlights and which are the best. I feel like the Jeep stock headlights are very poor and hard to see at night. I put in high temp sockets in my jeep and looking into getting better headlights to see better at night.
Thanks.
Thanks.
i bought these and i think it's probably one of the best modifications done to my rig. easy install too, took me about 20 minutes.

IPF H4 housings + bulbs of your choice + upgraded headlight harness.
I still do not have a new harness yet (lazy), and I am running some cheapo delta xenon bulbs in my housings. So much better than stock. even without upgraded wiring.

I used this harness: http://www.eautoworks.com/product-eA...com-189849.htm
With these lights:

Honestly the best upgrade I have done on my jeep by far.

If you order the autopal headlights you will need the 200mm ones, not the 165mm. These will work better

IPF h4 conversions with hid's, it's the only way to go, don't waist your money on halogen bulbs, you'll never get the same light output...I have 8k hid's I'll soon be going to 4 or 5k, better for off roading. Either 8k or 4k, they are still very bright, and with the way IPF cut the lenses, they spread light wide and far.

Has anyone tried the delta headlights? Off of quadratec. they are an h4 conversion as well. They seem like thy may put off some good light. Buy Idk. Do you have any pics of your IPF headlights and their light output?

If you want to stay low $, I think Sylvania Silverstar sealed beams are a good choice.
http://www.quadratec.com/products/97000_101.htm
They're $20-$25 each locally here.
I'm running Delta H4 E-code housings. E-codes put more light ON the road than do DOT spec housings. The supplied halogen bulbs didn't brighten things up enough to suit me. I can't comment on their xenon bulbs, but hope they're brighter for the extra $. http://www.quadratec.com/products/97009_121.htm
I replaced the Delta supplied bulbs with PIAA Extreme White Plus 4000K. The Intense White series should be even brighter with the same 60/55W draw. http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-H4.html
The OP needs to check his voltage at the headlight sockets, engine running and sealed beams removed. If you're not seeing 12.5+ volts, you should upgrade your wiring harness. My stock harness is giving me 13.1V, so I didn't upgrade. I WOULD if I were planning on using bulbs with higher than 60/55w draw.
For those who don't think that there is a difference other than advertising hype between the various 60/55w draw bulbs, I will say there is a huge difference.
In addition to the Delta E-codes, I have a pair of PIAA 520ATPs aimed to be used as auxiliary low beams.http://www.piaa.com/Lamps/Lamp-pages/520atp.html
The stock bulbs were 85w, so I replaced them with PIAAs 55W H3 series Intense White and they still blow my low beams away.http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-H3.html
The 520ATPs have a wider beam than true driving lights, but much narrower than fogs. Hella Eurobeams would have a similar pattern. With the lower wattage bulbs in the 520 reflectors, I'm getting superior low beam lighting and bright fill lighting to augment my high beams.

Thanks for the input guys I upgraded the sockets with high temp motormites from auto zone. Wiring is the same as stock. It just has heavier gauge wiring and a better more insulate socket. I just need to find good headlights now.
Thanks for all the input guys.
