The only difference is the cut of the gear. The Aussie should work without issue.

This is the way I think of it on my head with both ends locked with lunchbox lockers....while in 2wd, obviously only the rear is getting power. In a straight line both are powered, in a turn the cam gear separates allowing for the outside wheel to spin faster. If while in full-time, it works the same as the rear. So, the t-case would still be able to let the front and rear spin at different speeds in a turn correct?

After your responses here and doing some more research on my own I decided to just leave the front alone at the moment. I will probably get a lunchbox locker for the rear first then go with a tru trac maybe in the front.
If I wasn't concerned with not being able to use full-time in the snow while driving on the road then it wouldn't be that big of a deal. But I like the extra insurance that the 242 gives me with that option.
