Default What am i missing?

Looking to lift my jeep using parts from dif. companies. Here's what i have so far:

JKS adjustable track bar
Amazon.com: JKS OGS126 Front Adjustable Track Bar for Jeep TJ/XJ/MJ: Automotive Amazon.com: JKS OGS126 Front Adjustable Track Bar for Jeep TJ/XJ/MJ: Automotive

Lower control arms from fat bobs garage
Amazon.com: Jeep Cherokee XJ Front Lower Control Arms for 3"-4.5" Lift 84-01: Automotive Amazon.com: Jeep Cherokee XJ Front Lower Control Arms for 3"-4.5" Lift 84-01: Automotive

I'm planning on using an s-10 bastard pack for my rear leaf springs.

Here's where i have trouble.. For coils, RE has 3.5" and 4.5" ones on amazon, but the 4.5" ones are about $50 less for the set. If i go 4.5" what size shocks will i need to run? I've been looking at rustys rx100 shocks.

I'm not sure i want a 4.5" lift yet, because i just put new tires on (size 235/75/15) and cant afford another new set. It would look weird with those tires, right??

Any other info yall want to add is also much appreciated!

The track bar you listed is only rated for up to 3.5", and it's over $200. Rough country has an adjustable good up to 4.5 for $129.95

I can't answer your questions on shocks off the top of my head, but Serious Offroad has shocks listed by lift size. He is also a forum vendor and has an outstanding reputation. Give him some business if you can. Also, you need to keep in mind that over 3" of lift you're going to have issues with driveline vibes and premature wear, so you're going to need a transfer case drop kit, or a slip yoke eliminator kit.

On your control arms, I can't speak to the quality of the ones on Amazon, but I can tell you that for $50 more you can get a set of adjustable lower arms from Rough Country. That being said, at 4.5 " of lift, I'd get both upper and lower adjustable so you don't have caster issues.

I just bought a Rough Country X-Series 4.5" lift that included upper and lower adjustable control arms, full leafs, new brake lines, shocks, quick disconects, and an adjustable track bar for $829. I got my slip yoke eliminator from Serious Offroad, and a dropped pitman arm and control arm drop brackets from Baseline 4X4.

If it matters to you, a 2" lift looks fine with the tire size you mentioned. I'm Running Firestone Destination AT in that size. Until I get time to put the 4.5" lift in, I'm sitting at 2" using OME rear leafs and 2" Daystar spacers up front and ProComp shocks. It's WAY cheaper and less complicated to do a 2" lift. Once the new 4.5" lift goes in, 31" Duratracs will be going on too.

In fact, it looks like you're in Fort Worth, and I'm in Arlington. I'm not going to be doing the lift for a few months, but once I do, I'll have some lightly used 2.5 year old 2" Old Man Emu springs, coil spacers, and shocks that I can sell you for a good deal if you don't mind waiting awhile!

Don't get a rough country track bar...I went through three of their Heims in 2 months.
I have since got a iron rock double shear track bar with bracket and it's pure beef
