Did you end up welding it?

My c8.25 aussie is acting up and Im thinking of ditching it and welding it up... I cant get a spool for the 8.25 cause of the c clips...

 

what about welding the front end? i have a vac lock right now, probably will change to cable soon.

 

don't weld your front end unless you plan on just going straight.

and those cable actuators will let you down, eventually.

 

but they arent locked unless i engage it. and when i do engage, its all low speed crawling anyways so the 2 front tires dont ever need to roll at different speeds. even if im crawling rocks at a full turn i most likely wont have full traction on both front wheels (like i would on road surface) so whats the problem? im not going to engage it on the road at all.
