Default Welded on bumpstops. Upgading to ACOS spacers.

I'm about to install some ACOS spacers. My bump stops are welded on. Need to cut, drill and tap. Has anybody done this before that might have any suggestions? Saw zaw? Grinder? Both? Doing this in my apartment complex parking lot so I need to be fast and efficient.

Thin cut-off wheel on a 4.5" grinder will be the fastest, then clean it up with 120 grit flapper.

Can I get a drill in there? Or do I have to drop the axle? How deep do I need to drill? If its not that deep I will cut the drill bit down.

My bad. Should have been more informative. I need to remove my coil springs to install some ACOS spacers that I purchased from My own supplier. Probably the same ones that everybody is buying. Will post a picture just in case there is some confusion. ANAYWAYS here are the questions.... After I remove the welded in bump stops.....(please refer to quote or previous posts) Any information helps and is greatly appreciated. Happy New Year everybody....

There easy to install, remember to disconnect swaybar, makes it easier drop the axle one side at a time. Cut the bump metal shell off with a cut off wheel. The hole in bottom only needs to be enlarged to the new size, its about 3/16" thick, so you can cut a drill down if you have to. Thats it, install and adjust

Correction:
The hole does not get enlarged (aka reamed) out to 3/16; it gets retapped to 3/16NC.

Mine came with a metric 10mm 1.50 bolt. Had to shop around for that tap.
