Hey guys I’m new here, I just bought a 94 xj a few months ago. When I got it the carpet was soaked and the floors were rusted out. I pulled all the carpet, repaired the rust and Bedlined the floor. Now I’m trying to pinpoint the leaks. I have a large leak on my passenger floorboard, I believe it’s from the cowl. But the one that got me stumped is the drivers floorboard and behind the drivers seat. It just has a little water everywhere.

Theres also some under the rear seat

i have rugged ridge floor mats and no water is on the mats, only on the floor

if anyone has any insight on where this is leaking, it would be much appreciated.

The passenger side water is most likely coming from the seal around the blower motor.

Easiest way to find leaks is to go look while it's raining. Second easiest is you crawl around inside while someone is blasting the outside with a water hose.

 

Do you have a sunroof ? and is it a 2 or 4 door ?

I don’t have a headliner, but i don’t see any water up there when it’s raining

 

I had a thought that maybe the water is spreading about the floor when I come up my bumpy driveway, I’ll have to check it out with a water hose

 

Sounds like the water's coming from underneath.

 

Also check the door seals

 

.....asked cuz the fasteners for the roof rack sometimes leak

 

If anyone was wondering I found the leak, it was the windshield. I sprayed it with a water hose then got in the Jeep and right away water was running down the seal on the inside. Thanks for everyone’s help
