a lot of people on this site add parts to help performance offroad. its all about function.

Good ol recovery bumper and some MT's with some wheel spacers or new rims and it will look tough as hell.

I had a 2wd S10 blazer that I lifted 5". Why? Cause it looked cool. Also, cause I'm in Houston as well and you know how bad the flooding is.

BTW, there is a pick a part on Shaver in Pasadena. Pay the extra $1 to go to the "good" side. There is a 242 transfer case laying on the ground. Saw it there this past weekend.

On this note, are those halogen housings with halogen bulbs, or are there HIDs in them?

Also! try painting your Brake Calipers. that also adds more Hp than people think. Maybe a windshield visor would help to, won't add an hp, but it makes you jeep 4 wheel drive by default.

no but in all honesty man... buy a 4x4 Cherokee, why did you buy a RWD cherokee to begin with? where did you even FIND one? I can't say I've ever seen one personally :P

they have HID's in them nice and bright. and i got it threw a guy who goes to auctions. a drunk driver hit me n tore up my sonoma and i worked out of my truck so no ride no green. so i got a good deal and been driving it the last 4yrs and put about 100k on it. its had a few problems but knowing the way i drive and carrying at least 800lbs in it for 4yrs cant say im not pleased with it at all.

I see, you should probably get them fitted correctly the housings they are in aren't designed for HID's. Take a look at this thread here good info on upgrading lighting.

But back to topic, if you or a friend has good fabricating skills you could make a custom front grill. Something like flames or teeth (which should you chose to go with angry eyes) would look pretty mean.

You haven't looked hard enough. They're everywhere.

You need to take those HIDs out. There's no way those housing have a good pattern. You're blinding folks whether you know it or not.

In the name of actually helping you out. IMO I would embrace the 2wd thing and go for the Jeep Speed look. Lots of kick butt 2wd race trucks in the Baja.

Heres a good example

So bigger tires, clearanced fenders, JCR roof light bar, and a suspension upgrades that will give you crazy suspension travel.

Wink

I had a 2wd limited 00. This thing ran better than my current 00 sport 4x4 and raped it harder than my 95 country 5spd. Dont be ashamed of a 2wd. They have talent in areas the 4x4 dont. (vice veresa). I removed all the plastic fender flares and liked the look. Still hafta do a bit of trimming, but it doesnt look bad. Roof racks, bumpers, bushwacker fender flares. Maybe some nice hellas. I would save up for another 4x4 and keep the 2wd for dry trails an grocery haulin. I have been very shocked on what Ive seen 2wd xjs do.

I just realized the OP is in Texas. Everything is flat in Texas. You don't need 4wd!

lol. ur funny. Thats my parking spot for my 4x4 sport. Its understandable that you would be envious of my giant playground called the rockies. And yes the 2wd could have parked here all day

I try.

I realize the 2wd could part there all day. The question was... could the 2wd drive away from that spot at any point during the day?
