Default vibe attack! how can i get rid of the vibes?!

Recently I've noticed the severity of vibrations my xj has. There's constant vibes when driving that I don't mind too much, but under 20mph and when stopping...it goes mad and feels like an earthquake is hitting. What can I do to get these bad vibes gone?

What size lift are you running? For a small lift, just do a 1 inch tcase drop. For a large lift, do an SYE and DS.

I'm running a 3inch short arm lift with stock shocks. I'm planning on adding another 1.5" or 2" to it by auguast, so should I then drop the tcase and add a SYE to have it ready for the extra lift? Would new shocks be needed then too?
Thanks.

You should be ok with a 1 inch tcase drop kit, its very cheap. That is a good way to get rid of vibes.

But sometimes thats not enough, and you would need an SYE and DS, which you could get for 200 from IRO. That is the "correct" way to get rid of vibes.

If I were you I would get a 1 inch tcase drop and install it. If you still have vibes get an SYE/DS. If you don't have vibes great!! But when you go up to 4.5-5 inches, you may get those vibes back, in which case you will need an SYE/DS.

As for the shocks, i can't say for sure, but I would think that you would need new shocks for the bigger lift.

Hope this helps

IS this vibe happening when BRAKING or Accelerating or after a bump at speed? From the descrption it sounds like warped brakes.

Thanks! And I read on some thread (I'm at work on my phone right now so I can't attach the link) but some guy "wiggles" I think...said I can get a front axle DS from a junkyard and switch it ito the rear instead of a SYE. Do you have any idea if this is an efficient fix or is a SYE needed?

I always thought you still needed an SYE, and then you would get the ZJ front DS from a JY instead of getting a brand new DS. But I could be wrong!

Yes you need an SYE for the front d.s to work sry on that bit of miss information.Sounds like he needs to start studying a bit more. A front xj d.s will work I'm not sure on a zj's.
