I received mine last Fri. and must say it was one great job of packing the box even with damage to the outer cardboard layer the box did not have a single scratch!

As we all know when people make something for them selves they take lots of time to make sure it is done right and looks great. We all saw the photos of his box excellent job of material cutting and flawless welds. Hinges and fitment of the lid/latch/locking assembly made by someone who takes pride in there work. In this day and time something we don't see on a daily basis and he did the work for someone he didn't even know, just a few exchanged emails. His price was way less than I expected for this quality of work by someone who just offered to make a few for members here.

He makes these in his spare time and never intended to really sell any just to show what he had made for his XJ. I was one of the lucky one's to have gotten one of them, I will post photos once I have finished painting it and mounting has been done. Trying to finish my rear tire carrier bumper with some mods first but did get the first coat of paint on it with a run of course

Seems like both parties are a cut above the rest. Not many people post a report of the items bought. Simply pay and install. Can't wait to see the photos

I went back to find the original posts and now can't find them don't know why they may have been removed.

It's a steel box that goes in front of the cubby hole in the back passenger across from where the factory spare went. It comes back to the hatch on the floor and goes up to just under the side glass then over the wheel well to back of seat in the part over the wheel well a small section was partitioned th store smaller items. With a piano hinged lid and recessed pop up handle with key locking. The inside of the box is cutout to the exact size of the cubby hole to use that area also. He sent me photos of him doing his install where the trim was removed around the recessed area where you drilled 2 1/2" holes in the sheet metal on the XJ, he even sent a small template for them with the bolts.

Sorry for any confusion about my post here is his email address CreepyFab@windstream.net

Yes that is it, don't know why I couldn't find it. I noticed the shipping alone was over $35 and he packed it better than 95% of the things I order.

He does very nice work and you can see the welds.

Thanks for posting the link for me.
