Tube doors on XJ - Input needed
well I'm thinking about getting some tube doors for my 2000 xj. Has anyone ever put them on and how much of a pain is it with the wiring for the door being there.

We did it to a buddies XJ (the Warrior ones). They looked good but it was a pain to get the door off and back on again and required a bit of modification to get it off in the first place (pin was tac-welded in for some reason). The wires we just used a molex connector. (basically just make it so you can attach/detach at the connector leaving the wires on the speakers etc inside the door.

I have the first Warrior Products tube doors for XJs ever sold LOL. Easy to install and remove. I actually bought the first set (alpha test phase?). They were shipped 3/4" too long. WP told me they would do the repairs themselves at no cost to me if I'd send them back. I chose to cut them, burn them in, then re-coat them myself. These same doors have lasted all of these years. No signs of wear. Even the hinges still work.

I can vouch for the warrior ones as well- Those things are pretty well made. My buddy has all but destroyed his Jeep but the tube doors are hanging on just fine- better than his regular doors in fact.

Will the warrior tube doors keep the chassis from flexing to the point where the factory doors will not be able to fit back on? My XJ is my daily driver so I need to be able to put them back on in the rain and in the winter months.

I run mine doorless and the doors fit just fine. I just cut the stock pins out and and a 3/8's? bolt with the threads cut off to hold them on.
Takes me 5 minutes to put them on and take them off
