I have no idea how anyone can DD Super Swampers or maybe the used set I have are cupped and worn so bad. They vibrate my junk under 10 and I can't hear the radio on the highway. I LOVE my BFG A/T's for DD duties though, smooth, quiet, balance well, live long and are great in the snow.

Both sets was 75% hwy miles.
I forgot to add 35 psi on hwy. they roared like any other m/t I have used before.

They moved interco to china somewhere now the tires suck "winmill tire" used to sell them, first carrier for intercos the owner even design the m-16s they will not even sell interco now!

you dont want them on a dd...they will wear fast, handle any road condition like total crap, super loud humming and they cup...i had them on my 7.3L f250 and i regretted it, but i got them cheap and now looking back, i would have rather spent the money elsewhere. these wheels are built specifically for offroading

If it was me.. I would buy the tires, and a tire groover. I would cut all the center lugs 3 times, and cut the outer lugs in two. Then I would flip the blade over and add siping groves to all the lugs.

By doing this it will quiet the tire down and increase the life of the tire. After you do that look up how many ounces of air soft BB's you need to use to dynamic balance your tires.

ARe the loud ABSOLUTELY. Do the Wear out quick ABSOLUTELY, But they are awesome when you need them. Also if the price is right.. who cares how long they last.

I like my set got some used ones that are still kicking sitting in the garage. Put about 5K on them myself and the previous owner had them 50/50 on the road/offroad for 4-5 years. They are the Bias Ply 33x12.50R15's

they suck on the street and i hated them offroad. the lugs were too tall for the carcass and just folded over. didnt want to grab rocks at all, kept blowing beads even at 15 psi. they are old technology. id save a couple hundred extra and get a modern set of mud terrains

I've never used them but going by your Experience and knowledge I'm gonna stay away from them.

Never had the prob of blowing a bead at 15 psi. Thats the pressure I used while mudding and ran 35 psi on the hwy, never had a prod with them being to loud or vibrating at low speeds. The super swamper tsl is a mud tire, not intended for rock crawling. There is a couple of tred designs that super swamper does make that might be more suitable for rock crawling like the M16, trxus sts and mud terrain maybe even the vortracs. But super swamper tires are more designed for mud. Deep tred + large gaps + large out side nobbies = very aggressive self cleaning mud tire. And as far as being old technology, I'll take a set of the original bias tsl's over any other tire on the market today.

I really think they are designed more for a mud/sod/clay outing.
If you wheel where there is a lot of larger rocks and dry hard-pack, you'll want something else.
Here in NW PA, you'd love them.

It also has to do with your rim width too. JP Magazine had an article, I forget exactly what about, but it said a good rim width for airing down is 4" skinnier than the section width. So if you have 33x12.50s you'd want 8.5" wide rims.
Of course this is NO REPLACEMENT FOR BEADLOCKS!!!!

I can honestly say I have only seen that issue with boggers on rocks. I have never seen TSL's fold like that. If you are blowing beads at 15PSI buy beadlocks that sounds like a personal issue last time I checked they spec'd them to run a bit higher PSI. I run 4PSI in the front and 6PSI in the back on mine without beadlocks and have blown one bead. It got caught on a rock on the inside. Most modern mud terrains do not offer anywere near the same amount of cut resistance a Bias set of swampers will offer. That's why I run a set. No radial will ever out perform the cut resistance of a bias ply tire.
