Trying to put 95 doors on a 98 XJ
Hello everyone. I’ve acquired a beautiful set of manual doors to put on my 98 XJ. I know most people want the power options, but I don’t.
I know the hinges need need to get swapped, but I need to figure out the striker issue. Have any of you done a swap like this?
i know the striker isn’t orderable anymore. Do you think one of the universal Dorman strikers would work? Or a used set of strikers? I could probably get a nut to thread onto the back of them through the pillar.

Not sure...but I think it would be way more difficult...going from old to new you're basically using factory mount locations, and luck has it the striker location on the old lines up with the bolt hole at top of the old striker...it's actually pretty simple. I think the other way around you're looking at heavy body mods.
