transfer case help
Hello, i am new to xj's and i just bought a lifted 95 yesterday sight unseen. I had to drive a 2 hrs to pick it up not knowing much about it. Thankfully no issues driving it home. last night after i got home i tried out the 4wd and it poped the linkage off. I put it back and it keeps poping it off when i go between 4hi and 2wd. i know someone on hear has a fix for this issue im sure
As u can see the angl is way off

It helps if you give more info on the XJ you have, but either the linkage needs adjusting most likely or an aftermarket linkage kit.
Fill out your user CP with the yr of XJ and what transfer case. Also what size lift you have if its under 4 1/2" just a linkage adj. should take care of it (if its in good condition), that's all I have and it works fine.

Then it may just need adjustment is all depends on how long they have beating on it that way, if it hadn't been done before. At 4 1/2" of lift you really do need an SYE (not a drop kit) for the Transfer Case if it doesn't have one.
