Trans cooler fittings
what size house fittings do I need when extendeing rubber hose for trans cooler I知 installing? The fittings that slid into the hose I知 talking about I have the clamps not a issue. Thanks.
i didnt use any connections, i just got 7' of 3/8" hose from napa and cut the old soft line off completely and used the new hose on the hard line, didnt feel like splicing it in and using eight camps over the four I needed

Did you flare the hard line? I spliced into the soft section of the return line, but the new connections are brass barbed splice connections. 6 clamps total, not 8. They aren't going anywhere.
I used splices like these:

Yesterday I got rid of the leaking rubber hosed quick disconnects on the oem trans cooler lines. For now I just spliced into where I had hooked up the B&M cooler. Eventually I'm going to go with 1pc lines like post #4 (Nolan) did. One more thing. The fuel injection clamps are the cats meow. They do hold GOOD.

As a follow up to this, the correct size for the fuel injection hose type clamp for a 3/8 transmission hose is FI8, 9/16-5/8 or 14-16mm. FI10 is too large.
