Default tranny drop kit help

i recently put on a 3.5 in lift on and soon after i noticed a vibration coming from my driveshaft. so i looked on a few threads and some said a tranny drop would help correct this problem. so i order a skyjacker tranny drop kit and put it on. when i engage my 4wd it will go in but if i hit a few bumps it will pop out and make HUGE grinding noise.: can anyone give me some tips or are there some other mods i can look at.

Get rid of the transfer case drop and get an SYE, with a new drive shaft to replace the existing one

OR, you can go with a better transfer case linkage....

please show me where he can go buy a SYE kit and new rear drive shaft for less than 180.

If there's something I'm missing please let me know.

FYI, Dumajones' options is best.......... as its free.

You go get this http://www.northerndrivetrain.com/pr...3103-27CV.html

and get a CV front drive shaft off a cherokee at the junk yard

Watch this vid and you are good to go with cheap Hack&Tap set up.
this can be done with the T-case in the Jeep.

To answer the OP's question......adjust the linkage as Dumajones suggested. Very simple to do.

You'll catch a lot of grief from people for using a TC drop instead of SYE since it's not the best way to do it. Sure it will eliminate vibes but you're losing some of the ground clearance you just gained from the lift and also adding additional stresses to your motor mounts.

this guy knows! Mine was done in the Jeep. A buddy of mine traded me the kit and the labor for some metal. He had it all done in about an hour in a half. hardest part was tapping the hole.

I honestly have never seen this SYE kit.......... to me it makes sense, I could do it if i needed to.... and i agree that the TC drop is not the best method to fix driveline vibes, its a good alternative for those who cant do the mentioned work above, or like in my situation an inch isnt going to kill me as i only do light duty off roading (camping trails and some creek crossings)

STALKER!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah it is correct, but then again its the OME lift so it was quite a bit higher than the 1.5" it said. its settled and now actually pretty damn close to stock with the Smittybilt tire carrier i added. at this point I haven't messed with the tc drop since.
