Default Trac bar. Popping sound.

So I Installed a 3 inch lift about a month ago. When I turn I here a loud pop. I installed a 3 inch lift with full leaf's on my 00 cherokee. Right or left there is a loud pop sound. I figure this is from using the stock trac bar without relocating it or going adjustable?? I am just wondering "mechanically" what makes this noise? I need to know if I shjoud be saving up for an adjustable trac bar or If this noise is something I should get used too. But what cause's the popping sound? Thanks .

Hrrrm check your steering linkage from the box all the way to the last tie rod end. Stick your head near there and have someone cycle the steering. Find out where it's coming from. I'm going to guess your steering box brace has cracked and is creating a bunch of slop. So start there

Check out the track bar ends. My buddy's was loose after he installed new bushings in it. We tightened it and it came loose creating a popping sound while turning. I had a pop as well when I turned and it was a tight axle shaft u joint. The pop was the u joint cap busting haha.

If you have sway bar links still, then check the tie rod end closest to the passenger side sway bar link. Mine used to make contact with the sway bar link on full lock. I would also check the factory track bar bracket bolts, located underneath the drivers side and outer edge of the unibody behind the drivers front tire those tend to loosen up. Mine was making the same noise it was both of those things. Another thing to check would be steering box bolts just as a precaution.

I had my buddy turn the wheel as I sat underneath looking for the sound. There is a sweet spot when turning from full left to straight where it pop's. The Passenger side trac bar bolt kind of move's and makes a loud pop. I'm going to tighten it up but I'm ordering an adjustable. Looking at the rough country on ebay for $126. Any comment's on that?
