Have a machine shop measure the outer diameter of where the bushing is pressed into and have one made from derlin (type of plastic). Never done it or seen it done, but it might work. http://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=C...htext%3Dderlin

I assume that's the plastic our talking about..... black and looks like bushing material. Has kind of a hard rubbery feel. Works ok stationary bit when you put the kind of side loads and torsion a bushing might encounter I really wouldn't trust it to last.

if you get the diameter and width on the one you have you may be able to match up one from daystar, energy susp., or teraflex. there is anothe rpoly company out there but cant remember the name. diameter is most inportant if its a little wider you can trim down, same with sleeve. i had to do the same with some control arms and it worked fine.

I relaced mine with a factory XJ bushing for about 5 bucks with a lifetime warranty. It fit like it was made for it and has been fine for several years.

is it the new dimple bung?
mine is the older flat style and i have used a stock upper control arm bushing and just cut each side down a bit to fit them in. worked great for a few years.
i also made another out of uhmw, it's my spare.
