Default Trac bar

When i take a hard turn my 32 inch tire rubs against the control arm. The previous owner lifted it and i believe he extended the stock trac bar. What size/brand/style trac bar do i need for a 92 cherokee with a 4.5 in lift?

32's can rub the lca's regardless of your track bar. Wheel offset or aftermarket lca's will fix your problem.

Your aftermarket track bar could be just fine. Take some measurements to determine if the front axle is centered. If you need to, adjust the track bar to center the axle. Check again to see if there is tire rub. Keep in mind that even with the proper wheel backspacing you may still have slight tire rub.

Adjust out the steering stops after confirming axles centered....

As mentioned:

First: Make sure your axle is centered.

If: Yes, Proceed to Second
No, Adjust/Replace Trackbar for the application

Second:

Easy Fix --> Adjust Steering Stops
Nicer Fix --> New Wheels with Smaller Backspacing, I like 3.75 BS

Another consideration is to add some wheel spacers...

I would believe that its more of a wheel BS'ing issue you will need with a 15x8" rim a 3 3/4 to 4" of BS so the LCA's won't rub. Spacers will work, but are really just a Band-Aid till you could get the proper wheel.

A quality Adj. Dbl. Shear Track Bar is always a good addition to any lifted XJ and considered a good investment, even if it isn't the cause of your problem.
